No trees on those hills!
If you look up high there a whats left of trees from fire a few years ago.
The trees start a few miles to the left in the picture.
And its the end of our semi desert,, also no more rattle snakes past me to the north.
We get 12inches of precipitation per year, most as snow in the winter.
Behind where the picture was taken is grasslands for a mile or so ,, no trees.
Summer here can get to 42c about 105f very dry, cold beer wont sweat!!.

Lose a calf to a coyote and you would change your tune. Also have cows that have aborted; on the way to market, that have tested positive for lepto and coyotes can be carriers. Also had other cattle test positive for Sarcocystis which causes late term abortions and coyotes are carriers as well.

Yeah, but he's 2 hours south of me. I didn't ask if he was interested in a chunk. There's a lot more of it too. Im going to try to get some slabs milled.

You just gave me an idea thought.
