Glad I got so much done in the previous few weeks. Supposed to get 6" of snow in northern Ohio tomorrow, that's not normal for this late in April.
Bald eagle we saw the other day, sorry my camera is so bad lol.View attachment 236297
Been helping neighbors with some tree work, these little guys were over the area our newer neighbors wanted a garden. 28 on the ported 440 had no problem with this black locust.
View attachment 236298 Then I hauled all the wood to another neighbors. This is the butt log, tractor wasn't liking it, had to bounce the load to get it this high.

Then I cut this cherry at the house I dropped it all off at. He was concerned that it was going to split and asked me to drop it a week ago. Then I saw the weather and sent him a message about the 40-50mph winds we were going to get and he said he'd be grateful if I dropped it. So I did.

Then diced it all up for him and hauled the brush, the wife and kids did a great job.

Biggest one I've ever dropped. I was buying a wood splitter down near Ann Arbor MI one time and there was a house with 4 black Locust that were 4' plus across, biggest I've ever seen. Biggest trees we usually cut here are maple.
This one I had to trim a leader off the side and low enough so I could bore thru far enough to make a 24" reach from both sides. Little concerning because I couldn't set up a cut into both leaders at the same time, which meant the back one was free to go towards the house, skidding winch cable kept it together long enough for me to walk to the tractor though, did almost the same on that cherry, but put the cable thru a crotch on the non critical side and then attached it to the side leaning towards the house. The cherry I was able to cut both stems together so there was a lot less of a chance it would split off, the winch cable took that chance down a lot more :).
