Current project is getting a farmall cub running again after sitting outside for a few years. Almost have the 12v conversion and wiring complete. That is one of those mini denso china clone alternators.

Lovely pic. Mine is not as moody. I think this is Aug 2010 if the exif data is correct.

So I was about to pack up a 4300 and shoot it back across the Irish Sea when I realised it was empty. A perfect time to weigh it, especially since I didn't have a photo of one in my chainsaw weight gallery.

Basically what an MS241 weighs. SO, it's more phat than fat.

Seems a bit heavy for the 241.
Both are great "little" saws, the 026 is in the same area for overall size, not sure about weight, can't be far off though. Set up with a bar and chain the 241 beats them all out and just keeps sipping fuel.
I haven't ran my 241 in quite a while, need to get it out I guess.
2018 chassis with an oe handle, 390 choke lever/muffler/clutch cover and a 2166 take off top end with the transfers opened up.

Some folks say the newest version is lighter. But I haven't seen it on a scale yet. I think they are confusing it with the new 261 model. I don't see why Stihl would update a model they are discontinuing. But stranger things have happened. Hrm... now am thinking of demogorgons.

Wait a sec. Is that the one I ported? ;)
This one, admittedly, probably had a bit of oil still left in it. I just poured most of it out and considered it done. It also prolly has fuel from the filter up to the carb still. And a bit of gunk here and there. And then there's all the special sauce I added. My version of Randy's bananas. Anywho, it's now on it's way to Andrew.

Always. =)
Also, this dude visited us while we were walking just now. A bit dark, but I think we can make it out.
