It grumbled, pulled over shook all tires, nothing moved drove up to speed a 1/2 mile maybe noise again, pulled over shake the tires nothing moves, then down the shoulder half speed. The outer bearing dried out, over heated a couple times and then failed to keep the drum from sliding off the axle IMO.
No big trouble til mechanic says "no place to screw the lower shock bolt" cause that is what dragged on the concrete file in picture.
This will be welded parallel to original tapped mount.

Cost just right I was fortunate that a county cop did not stop. Calling a tow from down here to bring me to Park Hills is at least $150 less expense than a city tow the same distance. Can guess why but it's a waste.

Went to chang the oil on the new mower tonight. I opened up an oil filter i got on clear out last fall and this is what i found. Put it right where i put the old one! Ill buy a new one tomorrow. Not risking saving a 10 dollar filter on this machine.

Regular $2.39 & less, diesel about .20 higher mostly. Interstate and St louis higher.

Regular old 87 octane gasoline and diesel were both $2.75 a gallon when I filled the truck today.
The Harley gets premium no ethanol. Actually couldn't tell you what that's going for. I just fill it up and marvel at how much cheaper it is than the truck.

Local scrap yard change hands and the new owners are cleaning out I guess to lay concrete. Road is littered with crap. I guess I'll be taking a new way to work.
