Did a lot of work the past two days to dismantle this silver maple. It was 2 tree and had included bark all the way to the base. The property owner cut the larger side of the one stem out of it and I cut the other (road side). He took away the brush and I chunked and hauled the large stuff. The larger leader he cut was too damn nice to make into firewood and so I convinced him to let me mill it up. So far I was able to mill three 5/4 slabs, 14' long. I'm ready for a winch on the mill!
Got the 298 out to take down the main trunk. Didnt break a sweat with a 36" bar.
394 earning its keep. 3 slabs on one chain. The last one I could tell it was getting dull as unused more gas.
