Good buddy of mine doing brakes on my focus since my arm is still casted. I've been putting them off until I could do them myself, but they got bad faster than I thought.

So what are symptoms for that. Im kinda green to deisels.

The right side of the tank is simply overflow. The way the system works on these, there should be very little to no coolant in that side. The left side should be full to the top. If it does drop, the system will end up drawing it from the overflow side via vacuum that it will create.

This one, due to combustion pressure entering the cooling system forced coolant out of the left, into the right, and then out the overflow.
Even 3 hours after it had last been run, there was still excessive pressure in the system when I removed the cap.

Symptoms vary. This one, nothing more than a low coolant light. If it leaks bad enough to flood a cylinder, you are looking at hydrolock.
Diesel's inherently run cooler, so overheating is not a normal symptom for this problem. At least as long as there is still a reasonable amount of coolant in the system.

The only way for me to drain the right side of the tank will be to remove it, spend 30 minutes twisting, turning and sloshing it out of there..

Unless it pertains to certain things, like my wife and kids. And hunting.
My wife still cant figure out how I can sit in a tree all day waiting for a deer.
Probably because I'm the only azzhole out there..:)
