I told him fug that LS FTW!
I agree. I picked up a low mile LS1 complete with all accessories and computer for $1200... that’s pretty cheap for fuel injection and 350/350 hp/tq. Putting it in my CJ-7 will cost me another few grand, but it’s well worth it to me.

Good buy! I think the ls1 is the best balance of power and fuel efficiency!

Looks nice! That dynatrack is an $$$ axle! I am still acquiring parts for my 72 blazer, I am doing an nv4500 as well, with a 205 twin sticked, and I a doing a 10/1 vortec 350 with a gmc hot cam with an air gap.
I love those old blazers and trucks. My brother had a couple of nice ones, but they are long gone now.

I got that axle from a guy who bought it for a project, and never ran it... so it is essentially new, and I got it for way less than new cost. It’s got 4.56’s and an ARB. I’m building a Dana 44 for the front... I really can’t justify the cost of a 60 in the front. If I can swing it, I will also be getting an Atlas t-case, but for now I have the Dana 300 that I will be running.

That’s a score on the axle! And hear you on the Dana 60! I was able to get a mega deal on my Dana 60 and 14bolt, I traded a big hub 44 for a yfz450 exhaust and K&n, and traded that plus install for a front Dana 60! And payed 150 for a moded 14 bolt to fit the blazer!

Have you ever checked out Offroad Design? They have some slick drivetrain parts.

Yep. I had one of their shackle flips on my ‘79, and their bombproof motor mounts on my ‘79 and my ‘80 crew cab.

I had a Dana 60 in my crew cab, and an 8-lug 44 I was gonna swap into it, but never got around to it... I ended up selling it last summer and gave the guy the 44 as part of the deal.

Here it is... 454/SM465/NP205/60/14 bolt...
