It’s a balmy -19f and windy. The stove is gonna earn its keep the next few days. Eating wood like a fat kid getting after a box of doughnuts.

You guys are a different breed up there lol. It doesn’t get down to -40f all that often here but it has. The boiler just eats more wood. When it’s going to be below -20f I’ll mix in some coal and that really extends burn times. At -19f it’s running for 20min and sitting for 45ish yet so it’s not running flat out by any means.

It’s getting fed mostly crappy fence line wood like box elder, basswood, cottonwood, poplar and some elm and ash. I toss the ash aside to save it for the chilly days.
