Highways. Concrete for the most part. Some minor asphalt. Think of it as a giant planer. We can grind the surface of an older rough concrete road smooth again. It leaves a new textured surface that is far quieter as well. It is primarily used to rehabilitate older roads that are in good overall condition but are rough. Far more cost effective then asphalt overlays and total reconstruction.

This is a grinding head. 240 diamond blades stacked with .105 spacers in between. Thus the term diamond grinding.

Probably 1000 ft an hour for an avg depending on aggregate types limestone/river gravels etc. Kind of like watching paint dry after a while. Lol
