The amount of wear on those stone treads is amazing.

Right! A lot of history there!

And a few craftsman with nothing more than a few stone working tools did that. No calculators, lazers, or computer programs. I bet the seams are so precise they are waterproof.

Yes they are marble.

And there is a lot of wear on the treads and tops of the post where your hands naturally go.

The seams are beautiful and everything is still plumb, level and square!

Made a press block for making loops , rather than putting pressure on drive links and possibly bending them ,witch sucks , when pressing out pin View attachment 422827on the usual block provided, this put all the pressure on Ty link being taken out , thus no pressure on drive link and centers itself,

I don't see how this would work. The pin won't come thru the link....
