Got an all new hrc cr500 transmission, comparing it to thr short and wide ratio stock transmission IMG_4116.jpeg

Oh yeah! PEX is the only way to go in my opinion. Only had to cut 4 holes elsewhere to do the whole house. Most of it was under the master bath and laundry room. Most the subfloor there needed replaced so it just made sense to do it while I was there.

When your simple bathroom update make you realize your house is plumbed with polybutylene.

I had to do the same thing in my house in 2015. Home inspector warned me about it and mentioned the class-action lawsuit related to PB piping. Plumbers did all the intake, I did all the discharge and re-plumbed the water heater.

You are 100% correct. I'd never seen it before, and assumed it was a bloom. Not much cedar here.

Stole a pict from the interwebs of what the "blooms" look like. When they are in this stage you can watch the pollen drift from them every time the wind blows. Just a juniper so the fruit are small blue berries.
