I make them by finding a junk socket the same outside diameter as the inside of the holes. Then find some round stock that fits the holes. Fit the stock in the holes, insert the socket inside the rods. Secure with a hose clamp and remove. Then weld the rods in place. Done.Yup, that would be the tool. The cheapest one I've found is 54 bucks without shipping. I'm going to make one sometime.
I used the old screw driver and hammer trick mentioned above by @Steve and it worked great.

@Steve @redline4 Delivered to the guy who owns this today. Didn't know there were monster trucks this close to home. He has another one in the shop he is working on. He has it on small tires in order to get in inside.
I don't know how much the owner would like if I did that...Nice! Looks like a fun place to go on a scavenger hunt.

If I had time, I probably could have got one. Wish I could have looked over the one in the shop, but had too many more deliveries to make. Maybe if I am on that route again I can take my break there.It's got seats in the back.
