My dad has one hanging on the wall in his garage. I asked him about it years ago. He said when he was younger, him and his mother (my grandma) would go fishing on the Arkansas River with the phone. He said, "I would give a thousand dollars if you could have seen your grandmas face when those fish came up to the top! Her eyes were as big as baseballs!" I would give a thousand dollars to see it too...

Sounds like it was a "shocking" experience for all involved.
