Still pretty neat!


There are a few reptiles I would like to see in the wild just once in my area for no other reason than curiosity. Staring through glass in a controlled environment has no wow factor to me.
I thought lot lizards were pretty common every where.

Oh yeah, there are a ton of lizards and skinks around here. I want to see a cottonmouth, any type of rattlesnake here. They say they are here but I have never seen on in the wild in my 29 years in the area.


Found this little guy in the shop a few years ago. I could not identify it at all. Had to have my herpetologist cousin identify it. Want to take a guess? Hint, it's non native to our area.

Looks like a prairie kingsnake but there several that have similar markings. Eastern foxsnake? Seen some big cottonmouths wading creeks for trout in summer time. If you are playing in the area in the summer let me know and we can go look.
