Question on a part number for a MS261-c m-tronic

I have a 261 m-tronic version 1. I am trying to order an ignition module for the saw. I Tried to look some numbers up online and called my Stihl dealer (about an 1 1/2 hour drive one way), gave them part #’s 1141 400 4702 and 1141 400 4705. They said nothing came up with those numbers. So I told them what saw it was and they told me the part number was 000 400 1300. When I look that up, it looks like just a coil for a 260 and older saws. I just want to make sure i have the right part when i order. Thanks Desmond doyle

I'm not an expert on 261s but 0000 400 1300 is definitely not the right module for a 261. It wouldn't be compatible with the M-tronic system.

Thank you. After looking 0000 400 1300 up and see a bunch of Chinese coils come up, I thought is wasn’t quite right. Has far as I know, OEM are the only options for M-tonic saws.

I also gave them this number off of the module. But it did not help apparently.

This is a UK number I think, 1141 400 1331, may help. Don’t go ordering it, I may be wrong. Got a hefty tag of £95, and is complete, this is the other number, and cheaper, 1141 400 4731. Hope these help deduce you to something.

Your dealer is not competend. He must be able to give you the right part no. The older version of this control unit that you need is 1141 400 4732.

Thank you. I will take this info and the serial number with me when I drive out and talk to them face to face, Monday after work.
