Question about 026 air filter cover??

Hey guys, I’m needing a cover for an 026. Not a PRO 026. I’m finding ones with rubber covers on them for cold climates. How are these rubber covers attached. Can you remove it and have a perfectly good “normal” air filter cover? I’m not familiar.

They are held on with rivets which you could drill out. Should be something on eBay if you keep an eye out...
