Anyone use them? Likes/dislikes? Will mostly be used for removing fallen trees in a navigable canal in the neighborhood and not logging or see severe duty use.

I had one years ago. As long as you have a big enough saw, they will move a lot of weight. I had mine on a Stihl 046. They are very heavy though.

Stick with the original Lewis, not the Chinese rip-off. I run an original lewis every week skidding logs or an occasional hung up tree or stuck vehicle or winching vehicles onto the flatbed trailer. Ive gone through a half dozen winch cables.

Mine has been used with a ms 660 mag and a jonsered 2172.

I have an old homelite xl12 on mine, it pulls impressively, the homie has a very slow leak of fuel and I absolutley love that it does, i dont have to worry about it gumming the carb in between uses.

ive pulled alot with it, it really shines at pulling elk uphill during hunting season.
