Poulan 306A - Disassembled, removed a large amount of corrosion in the fuel tank, rebuilt carb, new fuel lines, cleaned and reset ignition. Now reassembling and realize I need the fuel tank gasket. Seems I recall that couple years ago someone used some square "rubber" as a gasket with good results. Anyone remember what that material was and where it could be accessed? OR, anyone got a cork gasket?
Thanks

Jerry, IIRC you'll be able to use 'body emblem adhesive' tape for a gasket.

Others may have different suggestions.

Use pieces of the tape as a gasket all the way around. No gaps. Put the tank halves together.

Leave it overnight.

Trim outside excess off. Fuel and check for leaks. The tape on the inside will fall off and you can grab these pieces as you see them.

Curious. Is the tape a foam or nitrile? I see some at oreilly but not sure it's the same
