Piston for a Husqvarna 357Xp

Was able to save a cylinder on a 357xp. Basic OEM type build. Meteor or Hyway pop up? I'm curious about the Hyway. I have use Meteors in most of my rebuilds.

I just put a hyway popup in a 357, it brought the comp from 177 gasketless to 198 gasketless after 2 tanks of fuel.

I went ahead and ordered the Hyway one. I've had decent luck with some of their other stuff.

I'd order a caber ring. Cheap insurance. Super cheap insurance if you caught HL's sale recently. I bought rings for saws I don't even have.

I've heard rumor that their jugs are the same as Meteor too, but I have only had a couple Taiwans and no Italians to compare.

The 039 cylinders appear to be the same casting.

Is this going to be a saw you're going to sell or keep for your own needs? If you're selling, then Meteor. If you're keeping, then playing around with the pop-up piston may be entertaining.

Keeping the saw for now, ordered cabers for it and a few other projects. If it comes with them that will be a bonus.

This one has a meteor, same as the 357. I used a pop-up 353 hyway, not real impressed honestly.

Hyway popup raised my 357 from 177 to 198 comp.
