Up for sale is a Pioneer P52 with a 655BP top end. This saw was purchased as part of a lot of Pioneer saws and parts by a buddy and he asked me to sell it for him since he doesn't do forums. The saw's backstory is pretty simple, it was bought new by a timber faller who ran Pioneers until he retired a few years ago. Each year, regardless of the saw's condition, he'd buy a "refresh kit" (that's what I was told) that came with a new carb, new piston, new cylinder, and in the BP's case a new coil and possibly flywheel as well. This saw was outfitted with a 655BP kit shortly before the guy retired and sold off all his saw stuff to my buddy. As I recall, for saws that weren't originally BP's (like this one) he'd use a P61 thin-ring piston to get around the con-rod differences. I can verify that this saw runs, cuts, and oils well as I test ran it myself. I'm selling it with a lightly used 36" 3/8 x 0.063 Oregon D009 bar that has been modified to fit this saw and a decent used chain to match. $650 + the ride sounds good to me, but if I'm out of line on the price just let me know, I've never really dealt with Pioneer stuff so I'm not sure what the going market rate is.
