have been able to pick up a few of these recently. Picked up a 60" today...well, buddy picked it up, and didn't know what he was looking at. Roller is damaged, and is locked up at the moment...is it still possible to find replacement rollers like this??....

Doing a little research, it does look like it is a mall/Remington bar...I have a mall 2mg on its way to me...I'll have to check the fit out.

If it's a 3.5" tip then it's a large Mall roller nose. Those have been unavailable for years but once in a great while new ones pop up on ebay or craigslist.

That's pretty well what I've been seeing. Looks like quite a few of the mall roller noses are quite popular with the big hot saws.

There's an old trick I learned from a forum on old Caterpillar tractors .Evidently something that contains citric acid will derust steel and not damage the good metal .

Fact a fellow in Australia uses an old bath tub full of spoiled citrus fruits he gets from a fruit market free . It might be such a thing as to get some cleaner with citric acid and soak the tip and salvage it .It isn't like 60" bar would get much use and it's hung tight now where you can't use it .If it frees up soak the tip in solvent then oil and give it a go,might work .
