WANTED OEM 046 cylinder

I am looking for a decent oem cylinder. I picked up a 046 and was inspecting it and noticed jb weld on the outside of the cylinder. It ran good but I just had to know why so I took off the muffler and someone had ground completely through the transfers. it was the most hack job of a port that I have ever seen. Anyway so now I need a cylinder.

Can’t speak for the port job, but if done properly there’s nothing wrong with JB Weld on the outside of a cylinder to seal off a pinhole in the transfers. Maybe the port work could be cleaned up and you’d end up with a better running saw than if it were stock? Just throwing it out there. Hate to see 046 cylinders thrown out

My dad has a ms660 that someone ported. I fixed it up and got er running & it just wasn’t running right. Anyway I started poking around and found that they’d widened the exhaust port about 1/8” wider than the piston skirt on each side. So I told him it would need a new cylinder, but he’s like it runs right? He just runs it the way it is and it seems to work for him… lol.

Yeah that’s a little different. JB Weld doesn’t fix that

I have a 365 ported by one of the most respected porters on this site, it has JB weld on the transfers!
