Jake, IIRC that bar is from the 1970s or so and is a good one to have.

Sometimes you see older Husky bars that are actually one of these.

The tips show up on eBay from time to time.

Nice find!

All the old school little saws did, I had a super ez that was 40cc torque monster. It would blow 190 psi on a crappy comp gauge. It ran 16-20 bar with full size 3/8 chisel chain. try to get a new 40cc saw to do that! I sold it to fund an other project and regret it very much. Mine even had the rare full wrap bar on it.

Thoae bars were great... I just retipped and ground the rails on a 16" for my 346.
I've accumulated a few, but nothing long...

Was looking yesterday for a 20 inch bar that a guy needed. And the only one not on a saw looks just like that one. So,I should keep it?

Those are just the previous style oregon tip, called a three rivet. I have several, mainly on old echo saws and one in k095 mount and one in d009.

452 i have 3 of, do great with 16 or 18" bar and 3/8 is what they run. I see lots with a 20" but thats just too much if used in hardwood.

Here's a bit more...
That tip is for medium contour bars... The tips with the corners cut are slim line.

I have a few on echos too. They all have the banana anti kit back style.

Got the same bar on a 452vl also. Great saw with a 60dl full chisel chain. I sure feel like the old bars are better quality then even some of the premium bars of today.

I have one that fits the large husky mount... it's 42" long and came with a 395xp I bought. I'm not sure how old it is, but it's still in really good shape. I'll grab a picture tomorrow, if I think of it.

Here's the one I have. It was a .404, but at some point the tip was changed to 3/8. I guess it is a 42"...image.jpg
