Cut a bid huge limb today. Guy said tree, but meant half a tree. Big split near the middle of the tree.

I was sitting in the crotch of the tree and cutting with damn low visibility. The limb was loaded like an SOB and ready to pop.

I was pretty worried the limb would suddenly drop and snap back on my leg. Got out safe and was happy to have my feets on the ground again.

BTW, the new X-Cut C85 from Husky is a bad mofo. Best chain I've used from Husky. I had started using mostly Stihl RS, but this new X-Cut is impressive as a work chain.

I saw very fast cuts, longer times between sharpening, easier to sharpen and less snagging. I ran a loop of 18" on my Dolmar 7910 and the same one on my 2171 on Saturday.

I think it's showing up with the 572's. It looks like that will be the standard in-the-box chain with a new saw.

I see quite a lot of the .325 stuff on eBay. I think it's called SP33. The 3/8 stuff I've seen is C85.

I haven't learned the numerology and nomenclatures enough yet to know what is what.
