So the 20 year old son of a lady my wife works with was murdered in alley down in the hood last week. I do feel bad for Sara and don't like to see a young life taken, but it wasn't like her kid was going door to door preaching the good book and it was only a matter of time before he was gonna get in some deep *s-word anyways.

So they have found the guys that did it and judging by the one kids last name I image he is gonna be real popular in prison.

Nice!

Here in Kansas you really don't need a boat to fish lol.

Technically, I don't need one here either, except for catching fish of any size it helps. From the shore it's rare to get a Bonita, Baracuda, Grouper or Tuna in my area. In September and October the Tuna run at the north of my island. Hoping to be done in time to catch a few this year. Got a long way to go on the boat yet. It was a BASKET case when I bought it.

But you got some shoreline and deep water. We have a few lakes but people use them things for playing. The few good spots I go to you could damn near jump over the water.

That sounds like my childhood fishing holes in Mississippi. I used to have a spread of bamboo and cane poles sticking out of creek banks. Catfishing...

The Red Snapper are stalking our waters this time of year. We are in something like a migratory area for fish. In the winter it's sea bass.

I missed this thread. Buncha fuggin miscreants.

Time for a little soul baring......I'm among my friends here.

Running over my Felicia really messed me up guys. Then I had to put her down, and bury her. Add to that.....I watched my wife cry for days over it. I'm doing better now.......but still not great.
my wife and me goes through the same emotions when we loose a dog.
First time for me was back in 03 where I had to put down Oscar due a failed back surgery, couldnt pass his grave for 1/2 a year.
When Prazzla left me in 15th due hearth failure, she pretty much took me with her, I've not come over the loss of her yet, the last one Nils left me in 18th due shoulder infection.
All my dogs has been wire hair dachs hund dogs, I spend several houndred hours each season at the field training them up as hunting dogs, pluss they live with us indoor as full grown family members.
I've ordered new ones now, one of them has the same motherline as Prazzla and Nils had, feels right for both wife & me.

That's a tough one.
I could tell you that it will get better. But there will always be a tiny piece of your heart missing.
It's been over 3 years since I put my lab down. Still bothers me from time to time.
