It's raining here at the moment. Supposed to pass over soon. The meat birds don't look impressed.

Nice I had. 8x3 a frame pen when I had my city chickens. The new people down the street probably got 30 chickens in a 5x8 pen. I see a mess of feathers floating around the block soon lol.
There's 30 in my pen. They have about 4 weeks to live.

A buddy of mine used to do meat birds, would stop at the local farmers market and pick up watermelons and squash and all manor of stuff that was going to be thrown away and fed to the birds. They got so big so fast there legs started breaking, but they sure were something special on the grill.

These guys will eat a lot of grass and bugs along with feed/table scraps. They're certainly not cheaper than what you can buy in the store around here but the flavor is so much better. Plus I know what I'm feeding my kids.

Preach!
LMAO.. not preaching just like to know what were eating.

There's a different outlook on life when you have named and petted what's on the table in front of you.

You gotta watch kids real close, they'll eat boogers and stuff.
