I wear hard contacts and the high wind and dust and grass get behind them and burn like a sob
My eye's were on fire today.

I was grinding on the chit spreader earlier and a piece of metal went behind my safety glasses. It was stuck in my eye pretty good.

I remembered a friend telling about them using a magnet in the ER to get metal out of his eye. So I figured fug it...worth a shot..and it worked!

Sounds really unpleasant. I don't wear contacts but I'm sure not looking forward to allergy season.

Probably just be a little scratchy. You'll survive. Some lubricating eye drops will help if it gets uncomfortable.
