That sucks. It started about 12 years ago, one of the more socialist provinces decided to have "Family Day" in February to provide a holiday between New Year's and Good Friday. Eventually all the provinces followed suit, but ours is called "Louis Riel Day" to honor the man that is now credited with the founding of our province even though he was hanged for treason...

Best part is because this is a provincial holiday all the federal gov't workers are supposed to work. Thankfully Tamara has enough sense to save a day of her vacation time to use today most years.

Good morning escapee's from the nut farm. Feel like Jason today without the benefits, slipped and fell on the ice yesterday and am sure sore today. I'll be alright some time.

I know one thing...Short of the few guys that I've gotten to know pretty well here, I won't be so quick to jump on the band wagon when someone else needs help.

Gotta head to the farm after lunch today. The ole feed cart needs some service/maintenance work done. Needs the battery cables replaced, oil changed, new engine mounts and I wanna put a deflector on it to help keep feed from falling into the recoil/fan housing. Might even cut a hole in the dash panel to allow for easier fuel ups.

As far as going down that same road, yes, I too am done with that. However I don't feel it should change who we are or what we do to a greater extent. Doesn't mean throw caution to the wind either. I still like to help folks when I can. When it really comes down to it, I wish I could do more, not less. It has changed some things that I never thought imaginable, now I keep thinking don't JMS this M'fer, and disclosure, disclosure, disclosure when dealing with another person. Probably to the extent of it being an annoyance. I find myself explaining way more than I should have to, just to dot those I's and cross the T's that the JMS experience has left us with...forever. Sad, but this *s-worde stain ain't coming out any time soon, will be a soiled reminder for a long time to come. I'll just step around it for now, what else can a fella really do? It's pretty common knowledge now and if a fella feels he's above it all and want's a JMS saw then he surely is free to do so, just don't come a knockin' around here when it comes undone.
