When the little guy gets older, he'll want an LS with a turbo in the olds, all the kids are doing it. Hopefully my boys and I will be too fairly soon! #6.0/80e/and a big hairdryer
That's what I want too...

The old stuff is cool and all, just not my generation.

Oh I never thought of looking to see how old you are, but you definitely qualify as one of the aforementioned whippersnappers!
See I got screwed, I was born in the middle. To young to have been able to walk in and buy an L88 Corvette or a COPO Camaro and too old to get to get a lifetime of this Hot Rod Renaissance but I do want to enjoy it during the tail end of my life. You guys have it great, laptop instead of a screwdriver. And the performance is amazing, I mean kids are driving street cars now that will run similar numbers to what a pro stock cars like Warren Johnson and Bob Glidden were running when I started drag racing, street cars that will run 150-175 mph in the qtr mile is amazing and it can be done a lot cheaper than I ever went 145 mph for.
But doing it with your son and your father, that's what really turns on that win light in my book every time...

Lol, whippersnapper...

Boy just turned 2 in November, so I have a bit of time yet. I know I know, it is gonna fly by.

Shoot it's already going on 5 years since I painted the cutlass.

Last year they just opened up a 1/8 mile track about 10 miles away. Was a big deal 50'-70s when it closed.

Dads latest idea is to fix grandpas 37 Hudson terraplane 4 door. To take down the track again 50 years after grandpa did. As a tribute, not a race car lol.

It was the first car grandpa ever owned. Dad remembers looking out the window watching grandpa drive it out of the garage with a coffee can of fuel sitting on the fender. To put it in the barn outback to finish his restoration on it. Parked it in the barn in 74/5 Still sitting in the exact same spot...
