I'm not a man with much disposable income. :(

Primary arms also has good scopes for the money. I'm not buying thousand plus dollar scopes. Not that I wouldn't like to have em though. Something around 300 bucks will get you where you need to be.

Evening saw nuts. Still frosty here but another family event in the books for the year.

I think it was the damn Russians that sent the weather over the pole and down on both of us.

I'm agreeable to that assessment being mutually acceptable.

An old fart told me when I was a lot younger to spend as much if not more on the scope than the rifle itself. That was good advice then and I think just as good now. Worked well for me on hunts out West and Alaska.

Agreed especially on high power rifles were shock is an issue or moisture.i had a cheap scope develop a vacum leak once and fog up. It shortened my hunting trip. Burris makes some nice scopes too.people squak about leopolds prices but they have the best warr. Even if you arnt original owner or no receipt that scope is warr. For life. Who else does that?

Sometimes it's not even the hunt itself, watching the gorilla at the loading conveyor at the airport lift every rifle case up over his head and slam it down with all he was worth.
