I'm studying on building a counter weight for the front of my JD1120. I'm thinking of concrete.

Suitcase weights aren't usually that hard to come by. Concrete should be a suitable replacement though, or you could build a steel box and fill it up with heavy chit. Depends on what you have laying around.

Yeah......

Two cubic feet of concrete weighs 300 lb.

So.....I could build a little form, then add some anchor bolts......and.....well you know.
