In the last 5 years or so there's been an explosion in micro-breweries. Many are making some darn fine drops. I'd rather one bottle of a quality brew than ten of bog-standard rubbish. Especially given I don't drink much so would rather make it quality over quantity at the end of a hard Summer's day. Still exploring NZ's micro-brewery styles. But the numbers of such are growing faster than I can get through 'em. First world problem I guess.
That's a pretty neat name for a brew - reef donkey.
Come to think of it, that's the other drawback about targeting them in the yak - sometimes it's impossible to turn em before they smoke me in structure. That familiar feeling of zzzziiiiiing then ping, game over.
Another species here that are smaller and easier to turn in time are Kahawai. They are fun and I'm trying to catch them on ever lighter gear.

We get Ling but mainly down South. They tend to hang out in the same deep water as a more favoured species here - Groper - and are more of a bycatch when chasing Groper. I think the commercial guys might target them though.

Good morning everyone!
Looks like it's as warm as it's going to get today.
Right now 25° and dropping with a little dust of snow coming down.

On the plus side it's Friday.
