Doing well so far. Saw a nice scavenge pile of wood on a side road near the office so I will try and snag some of that later.

It's a rarity to find wood on the side of the road salvageable for firewood here

It's a rarity to find wood on the side of the road salvageable for firewood here

Lots of the local tree services charge extra to haul away. Pretty common for them to leave on the side of the road for a couple days hoping it disappears before having to pay to haul it away.

Standing in my yard i can see more tree's than i can ever cut and burn lol
My neighbors gave me hundreds of dead ash plus hickory and maple.
And I've got some white oaks to drop for a guy.
He wants me to take them but i have more cut and drying than i can use this year or next.
I've been having people load up when i test saw's i drop tree's too.
I'm lucky lol

Thats pretty common around here too. Unless the city is cutting then no one can touch it.
