i like either but 3/8 holds a edge better than .325 in the wood around my area.

Good to know, I have never ran anything smaller than 3/8. I will prolly have to run 325 on my 2149 though.
I never liked it either. The timberline makes it cut much better, way sharper than I can file it.
You can run 3/8. The 353 handles it well with a 18" bar.

Yeah either will do the job. I have the .325 narrow kerf b/c from Clint's saw on mine right now. I like it now that it's actually sharp. I just can't file .325 worth a chit.
