Dam! I know your winters are longer than mine. But I think my Uncle uses half that. Do those OWB use more wood bu nature?

Could heat just the house with that, also heat a small shop and hot water. This year ran all year for hot water. Just recently shut it down to go on vacation, won't be long before it has to be fired right back up.

Oh yeah, was splitting jack pine today, it's a favorite, red pine is real good too. White pine, spruce, balsam and basswood burn a little fast, Ok in spring and fall. Winter I like to use the better woods like tamarack, oak and sugar maple for overnight, birch, soft maple, popple and pines in the day time.

I see. My uncle has had easy access to hedge the last few years so yeah that would make a big difference.

About 10 mins ago a helper was complaining about his lead man slacking off and I was in the middle of telling them how much that guy sucked and low and behold he snuck up on me and tried getting *s-wordty. I let him know how it goes in these parts lol
