I should correct myself, apparently the contract was not completed or the league would have taken a look at it. Apparently Trent didn't want to be locked in to 2 years up here. He seemed to think that in half a season on a wider, longer field with one less down he could impress enough to get another shot in the NFL.

Also should mention everything I know about him and the situation I read on an online forum and well... you know how reliable everything you read on the internet is...

Lots of big name college QB's come up and flame out pretty quick. It's a different (harder) game up here. Field is 55yds wide and 110 yards long and only 3 downs to get it done in.
