I never get the medical term right but he has one "lazy eye", got it from his mom. That is why he's wearing a patch over one eye in some of the pictures I have posted. We've been covering his better eye hoping the extra work would strengthen the other one. Today we go find out if it worked or if he needs surgery.



Princess Auto is about a close to Harbor Freight as we have here. Nearest Harbor Freight is in Fargo, so about 4 hours depending on the wait at the border crossing. I probably should just look at a new one, this one is a two wheel version and the correct replacements are about $40ea... I just hate being part of the throw away generation...

My brother used to rebuild old vehicles and he swore by S Dakota as a rust free zone. He made frequent trips west from Wisconsin, so maybe a trip north might be shorter

I could see that. Feel the same way above Colorado. I think the lack of ice and a dryer snow keeps them from salting the chit out gm of everything.

There really isn't a bad news scenario. It is a this or that, we were prepared for the surgery before they tried the patching. Didn't expect it to work but Elliott has been a real trooper wearing it. Instead of the recommended 2 to 4 hours a day he's had it on almost full time without complaint.
