Being a parent has really changed her. She never would have walked away from $150 sandals she thought were cute before Elliott was born.

The Truly Best thing of today is being reminded of what a great place we live. We live 30 minutes from the Southern tip of the 11th largest fresh water lake in the world. We head up the west side an hour like we did today and you see what we see. Gimli is home to the largest commercial walleye fishery in the world. Head up the east side an hour and you arrive at Grand Beach with 3km of fine white sand beach back by dunes that can vary in height by almost 40ft. Once rated by Playboy magazine and one of the top 10 beaches in North America.

We had breakfast today in a favourite restaurant in Selkirk, MB. At the table next to us was a family who had come all the way from PA to fish catfish in the Red River.

I may do a lot of *b-wording about where we live, sometimes I need a kick in the ass to remember all the good things...
