Happy Father's Day to all the dad's. Hopefully you get to spend the day doing things you enjoy.

My Dad has been gone for 8 years now and I still miss him a lot. I just feel like there was stuff he wanted to teach me that he never got the chance too.

Negative. Did not do that jason. With an overload on the compressor, will the freezer coil turn into an ice block? It was solid I e to where the fan couldn't get any air through the coils to blow up to the fridge

I see...the compressor has been running and ok the entire time, not like it was never energizing and running at all. Sounds to me like either a defrost thermostat or timer or evaporator thermistor is bad. You can check the defrost thermostat with a meter...if you read continuity its good, if it reads like an open circuit, it's bad.
