In the 80s A man named carnell had a big farm he had xl12s hanging on hay hooks in several different barns and they had numbers scratched into them 1 to 5 i think.
the farm hands would use them all day and return it to it's hook after sharpening them if they had trouble to the old man to fix.
i always liked the thought of that but now there wouldn't be a saw left.
I found this two years ago. Only one I've ever seen here. I always look for these and ginseng. Apparently I suck at finding both. Lolwhen the grass starts growing is when the morels start usually on north side of a hillside and near fallen partly rotten trees

Mostly mixed hardwoods. Oak, maple,ash,cherry,birch etc. Where I found the one was on a side hill in small maples. IIRCwhat kind of trees are in the woods you look at dj ?
