I went back to my VFD last night after a 7 year absence. Had a great visit with them, they made me feel very welcome back.

I'm waiting to hear back from ours, they say in the next day or two.

When they were finished with the interview they said they said they had one last question. How I got the email address that I've got (it's got genius in it)

I asked if they really wanted to know... If course they said yea. So I ended up telling the story on how I damn near blew myself up and ended up in the burn unit

Needless to say everyone was laughing their asses off and one of the guys in the midst of laughing said "I can't believe you told that story in a job interview for the FD"
