You guys were sure busy today. Almost 2 pages worth..evening friends
Robins AFB where I work, performs Depot Level maintenance, the most extensive tear-down of airplanes, on C-17 GlobeMasters, C-5 Galaxy's, C-130 Hercules, C-130 Spectre Gunships, EC-8 J-STARS, and F-15 Strike Eagles. It's a hectic flightline to say the least. A lotta chit going on all day and night. But we gotta get'em in and outta there. High pressure is an understatement but it's par for the course. It's pure aggravation at times, but it's rewarded when one gets airborne where it needs to be.Is your workshop the only one around for working on C17s Jason just asking because you guys are always flatout fixing them
Nothing wrong with that my friend...again I salute your brother and his service to our country. I worked A-6/E Intruders and E/A-6B Prowlers in my younger Marine Corps years. I met a many a fine Marine Aviator, Naval Aviator, Air Force pilot, etc. Met my share of Army helo pilots as well. They all share one thing in common...nuts of fuggin' steel, and they're damn fine in their job.His dream was to fly an F-22 but he fell short and settled for c-130's.[emoji3]

Good morning Todd.Good evening gentlemen and passing ladies
Yeh...a helluva difference btwn pitch variable turbo props and thrust vectoring jet engines. Your brother gets a big hand salute here. If he ever lands at Robins AFB in mid-Ga, would like to shake his hand for his service.Yeah i know, nothing wrong with it, i was just saying there is quite a difference between the planes.
Thanks that's an old bay that's used for spare parts storage. The crane is only a 10T crane over there!Great pic there my friend
