We just had a steel roof done on our house. Redid the eves and soffits, new roof vents and eves trough.
That was an expensive job but it had to be done. Next in our list is to redo both of our bathrooms. I'll have to completely strip them both down to bare studs and joists. Start over fresh. Not much really worth saving. Gotta love a 200yr old house.....![]()
Yup. Nothing is square or straight. Clearance issues. Lol. I build for a living but this house kicks my ass! It's over 300 years old. I'm not good with figuring where to say enough. I build new usually so it's tough to not rip everything out and start fresh...

Sauerkraut BallsCabbage fried in butter. There ain't no better way to make it.
Sauerkraut Balls
- Cook sausage and onion until meat is brown.
- Drain.
- Add sauerkraut and 2 T bread crumbs to the mixture.
- Combine cream cheese,parsley, mustard, garlic salt and pepper.
- Add to sauerkraut mixture.
- Chill one hour.
- Form into small balls and coat with flour.
- Dip in egg-milk mixture and roll in bread crumbs.
- Fry in deep fat until brown (can be frozen at this point) Bake in a 375 degree oven for 15-20 minutes SERVE HOT
