Before he was caught all the thefts were blamed on a pair of brother's

Went to mil yesterday for xmas
She always gives everybody money to do as they please
I never opened mine till I got home (good thing)
Instead of a check there is a nasty letter telling me about how wrong it was treating your only son so poorly that he left and on and on how it was my fault etc.

Mark, it must be horrible in her world that she has lost all ability to empathize. You know and we know you have worked very hard to be the best dad you can and sometimes it just isn’t enough or the right thing at the right time. Just remember, your family are all alive and healthy and that is the first step. Chances are that your MIL is such a small person that she could only make herself feel good by trying to make you feel bad. Sounds like a cancer that needs to be cut off.
