I have a couple hundred links of 7.62 if you want to make one. They are 147 gr (my rifle prefers 168-175) with tracers (1 every 5th) if you need to track where you are shooting.

I bought a Taiwanese cylinder to fix up a friend's saw and it must have been protected with cosmoline.

I got a Golf piston assembly coated the same way. As you said, brings back memories of cleaning CMP M1 rifles....
