Sitting here this afternoon at my old neighbors new house while they take their 2 old dogs to the vet to be put down. They have lost 4 animals now this year and their soon to be 3 year old daughter is not having any of it. She is in her room watching paw patrol after a cup of milk and asked me to leave her alone. Guess she needs her time to grieve and that’s ok. I know it won’t be easy when her parents get back home but I will head back home so they can grieve together. They dogs did one hell of a last meal as they had steak potatoes and even Oreos. That sounds like a great last meal to me but these circumstances still suck even for me as I have come to really take care of the dogs when they were working and out of town. The bulldog and me didn’t see eye to eye for a long time and once he came around it’s like we have been best pals for ever. I will miss them like they were my own dogs. Hoping Ava their daughter will bounce back quickly from her loss as no child should have to be put through what she has gone through this year. Her dad did bring her home a new kitten last time he cane back from North Dakota and I was told she protects that kitten from everything. If she gets scratched by him she hides the scratches and when they do find them she says it was her fault the kitty scratched her. For her age she is one smart little girl. She has even named her not even born yet baby brother who’s due around Christmas baby giggles. His name will be Rex and when they say his name she will say that is not his name and that his name is baby giggles.
