Afternoon Mike...USS Carl Vinson is currently back in San Diego from the last deployment, so they're dry for now. I believe they have some exercises coming up but will have to verify next time I talk with him. They keep 'em busy as hell when in port so we don't talk a crazy amount until maybe the wknds. But he's doing fine.

They’ve been having a safety stand down all day. Seems a bad mishap on the USS George W. Bush aircraft carrier. A young sailor ended up in the turboprop of an E2-C Hawkeye aircraft on the flight deck staging area prior to a catapult launch. They haven’t gotten word as to what happened. Just damn sad...son said he was an E-2. Hate to hear things like this!
