You talking about the flood light under the the eaves near the peak of the barn???
See what appears to be brown in color, both sides of the flood light running all the way to the front corners? When I expand the pic, it just goes to chit and blurry.

I see what you are talking about. Looks like some kind of banner?

Variation in the siding color. Board and batten does that if left to weather.

Ah, I think I see what you’re talking about. That’s just where the siding didn’t darken as much as the rest. The barn is pretty much grey except where the eves protected the wood from the sun and other elements.

Yep. Barn was built in 1986 by my dad and grampa, it’s got a lot of nice color. Unfortunately, I have to re-side it sometime soon.
I use a homemade concoction on my barn for stain. It soaks in really well and protects better than the EPA regulated garbage that's available nowadays. Also about 1/4 of the cost once you get started.

Nice looking building you’ve got there. The only good thing about my siding needin replacement is I can sell the weathered boards and probably get back at least half the cost of the new siding. That is if my wife doesn’t try to keep it all..lol

I put that stain on with a pump up sprayer. It's messy as fug but I can do it all in one day (36x48 barn). I throw my clothes in the burn barrel when I'm done. Lol
