Got just shy of 150, today. Couple more days, then I gotta climb in and fix the legs. All 4 legs had monster cracks, can't fill the pocket to much till they are shored up. otherwise she will twist like a pretzel...

Most I ever did with wire feed tig was a little over 30 lbs. Did 4 33lb spools of 045 hastalloy wire doing overlays

Most I ever did with wire feed tig was a little over 30 lbs. Did 4 33lb spools of 045 hastalloy wire doing overlays

You are doing a whole different caliber of welding. I just gotta make sure it is hot enough to boil out the contamination in the first couple of layers, and watch the tie ins.

It goes pretty quick once you get a flat built up. About a 30* incline, takes a bit of build before a pad starts to form.

It is rather weird having to stitch weld 1/4 to avoid blowing through. vertical up pads are fun too.. holding an edge, like flowing syrup through a straw
