Good afternoon friends, snowing was over this morning, so tried some aluminum brazing, with HTS-2000 flux-less solder I got the day before.
HTS-2000_solder.JPG
A small box over there is the specimen, which has 0.8mm thick alu walls.

Before.JPG
Both ends of this box has the same constructions, tried brazing to the other end.

After.JPG
I think not so bad, the solder was sucked into the ditches smoothly after the parent material (this box) got enough heat with an air-propane torch.

I thought you were a big truck mechanic. Did you do a career change?
Or are you hanging with @DSS ?
I am. I've just been doing a lot at the farm the past few days. My dad is pretty sick and isn't able to be in the barn anymore. I've taken a few days off work so I can help out as much as possible while he decides what his next step will be. I have a feeling that by mid April the farm will either be sold or my brother will be running the show.

Bummer about your dad and good thing you can be there for him. And this could just be me but I hope your brother takes the farm over. Family farms are a great thing this world needs.

Thanks Wayne. I hope my dad can let go enough to let my brother run things. I think this latest health scare has finally got my dad thinking about things seriously.

Both my parents grew up on farms. My mom on a dairy farm that was lost after her dad passed from diabetes and my dad on a hog farm that they ended up losing after my grandpa had a heart attack. But it's hard to tell a farmer that it' time to hang it up. They are a tough breed.
